HRRR interestingly is showing a decent amount of snow potential now, but I would highly suspect a large chunk of this is sleet on the southern end. Looks like OKC to Tulsa will get a pretty nice sleet burst in a few hours. Maybe some thundersleet as well.

There seems to be some question right now as to how far south it spreads but on the other hand the globals usually do poor with this so I wouldn't be surprised if Texas ends up being really big time cold too

Like right now the TV mets here are thinking most of the snow is north of us but 2021 wasnt like that with plenty of frozen precip even into South Texas so we'll see how it trends in the next 4 days. That's the thing it's still so far out

I think they average between 35-40

Yearly average for Dubuque is around 40-50 inches
All time snowiest was 70+, I believe

Just for reference our biggest snow this winter has been 6 inches and our coldest low was 2 degrees
