42 at RDU and 43 at Louisburg . louisburg never dropped to its dew but RDU did . If on a clear radiational cooling night the airport drops to its dew … the kind of night that should have the most apparent UHI… then why did RDU drop to its dew ?

So that’s why louisburg stayed at 43 and didn’t drop lower to its dew before rising to 45 .
I wouldn't be terribly surprised if some of the central and eastern nc sites are cooler tomorrow morning. High pressure inches closer so a longer calm period seems possible but a slight dew point recovery might still hold us 38-42

Right on time I have my first spotty frost of the season:

low of 36.5

39.0 this morning. Nice.
This late week into early next week pattern looks messy and potentially more so than being advertised. Canadian ridge, energy moving east in the fast flow below the ridge, strong polar origin wave trying to dig SE on the east side of the ridge. Good recipe to see forecasts change drastically.
