First freeze modeled under 120hrs on GFS. Probably be a few degrees above: 
I just ran the numbers for the closest two weather underground stations near me, take it for whats its worth, one has recorded over 83" of rain and the other was almost 87" for 2020. These are ridiculous numbers with two months to go.

Record high broken at AVL. Up to 82 so far, record was 81 set in 2016. Thankfully it looks much cooler tomorrow in the low 50s.
For an October ice storm these totals are crazy.

To me 1-2 inches of ice is pretty crazy even for winter standards.
Those totals are crazy for mid January. That kinda reminds me of the December 2002 ice storm here. It had been a mild fall and there was still a lot of leaves on the trees and I saw 16 hours straight of light freezing rain with the temperature hovering 28-30.
