Here I go again. Time for round 2. Temperature currently in the upper 20’s.
Another good morning around here...
Just saw some humongous power flashes to my northwest. Gigantic area went pitch dark afterward. Sounds like a lot of sleet outside right now.
As soon as you got the chance, keep pics and obs coming
Might be running out of time soon. The temperature is already starting to warm some. Went from 29 to 31 in the past half hour. Will get more picture as soon as it lights up a bit more outside.
edit: As soon as I say that the temperature dropped down to 30 again. Lol

That sleet/zr combo is always pretty crazy. Sets up like concrete especially after a hard freeze the night after.
how much accumulation do you think on trees?

Power came back on for now, but everything is iced over at this point.
You can tell those trees cannot take much more, that's borderline major power outage...... enjoy!
Probably around a half inch at this point. It’s taking a big toll on them. Really sagging and stooping over. The leaves aren’t helping either.
There’s a big tree right outside that has branches touching the ground now. Could go down at any moment. Holding steady around 30-31 right now. Forecast to go above freezing in around 2-4 hours.
Here’s a pretty big branch is that just gave in to the ice.
