Crazy the strength of signal this far out … 
If this potential cold wave does in fact come with all the strength shown on the models next weekend, that may give a first freeze of the season for many on this board, even those in the lower south.

We got lucky to get 11-12 inches in two systems in February and sw of me got almost 25 inches??. Right place at the right time
Bound to have some fun with this look .. blocking, a big East coast trough, and a massive western ridge is continuing to dominate the medium range after the warm up .. buckle up severe weather maybe to come and also some colddddd temps

Record low max at rdu is 46 tomorrow, midnight high might keep it from happening but with the light rain around tomorrow most of the daylight should be spent 40-45

Living up to its name this AM! ?
My Final call. 4-6” above 6,000ft mount Mitchell. 1-2” beech MTN and similar high spots northern NC. Lowest elevation of accumulation likely under 1” is Sparta NC. Mixed bag with no accum for Wilkes/Surry foothills. Cold ass rain south or east of Wilkes with only a 5% chance of onset mix before transitioning.
Some blue showing up on radar south of Nashville TN. Prob nothing, I deleted mping.

Tonight/tomorrow would have been a nice 1-3” snow event if it was a month or so later for parts of the SE
