The trend on the GFS is for lower heights into AK and a less tall western ridge. That’s what I see at least. That deepening low southeast of Greenland may be the culprit?

I don't get why it shows snow in extreme North GA but rain in Chicago ?

I don’t know how you don’t get moisture with this looks.
This comes to mind, same SE Canada ridge, very +PNA

FWIW the CMC has backend snow all the way down to FL.

Give me that track all day. That’s close to a board wide winter storm
This look reminds me of the December 2018 storm.
The GEFS still has a few members with wrap around snow for wave 1. Also member 7 crushes central Tennessee.
