That was my thought as well. Im 36/27 with a forecast low of 29. These forecasters must be using common core math..

What I find interesting is if we get a CAD setup + severe
CAD’s eat our severe set ups for lunch down here. I’ve been saved by it many times. They are no match.

Yeah normally saves us around/north of 85 but along the CAD boundary is the issue which enhanced helicity

Currently 53 here and slowly rising here west tennessee. Southerly winds have kicked in headed for the low 70s here for high today .

Moncure only dropped down to 33.2 this morning and is currently 34.7, but we are in our own microclimate here with the weather station on a ridge above Jordan Lake which is still 67 degrees

Got down to 28 at the house. Looks like RDU got down to 28 as well, but we'll have to wait for the official number. Also looks like RDU got to freezing shortly after 11pm last night, which would give them 8-9 hours of freezing temps. More than enough to kill any remaining bugs

Wind calmed down around sunset and things bottomed out here. 19.6 and such a heavy frost on the ground it looks like a new snow.

I like where the LR PNA is going (up), and the AO looks to be heading into negative territory, but not sure about the NAO (I guess it averages neutral to slightly above).

I'm not trying to be the Negative Nacy here, but the PNA is always positive and NAO Negative 10+ days out. Give it a few more days, to about the 190hr mark and they'll flip. Just ask @Myfrotho704_
