GEM drivers .3+ QPF in the upstate. We can afford some totals cut by rain with that type of precip

Question is how much QPF does the Triad/Triangle lose crashing temps. With afternoon highs in the upper 40's, and good security blanket of clouds rolling in to trap heat, I hope the cold air can beat that out enough to have a decent remnant of liquid to fall as an impactful snow.
