Pattern Morch

Winter did make it into Feb this year, but March will be warmer with not much chance of winter weather outside of the mountains. The best thing cold weather folks can hope for is a March like 2013.

Magically flips to rain for all next frame because of BL temps, but that seems unrealistic and I’d think it would’ve been a light, wet snow event. Or maybe not be as use of light rates (it is daytime in March, after all)? Doesn’t matter, it’ll be something different next run, but there is some support for a system around that time period. Probably a 5% chance of it working out, if that, but something to watch.

This isn’t far off on the EPS either. Nice SE Canada vortex suppressing the height field and a trailing wave with a western ridge spike. I give it a solid 6/10 look for this range View attachment 171318

Man, I could go for one more slice of the winter cake we’ve had. It’s not a bad look honestly…let it cook.

These aren’t the worst looks on the AI models either. Not a lot of cold rooted to this look is the biggest problem imho, but these are workable looks. This time of year it’s more ideal to have less seperation between the big SE Canada vortex and trailing shortwave.IMG_6253.pngIMG_6254.png

What the heck I thought winter was over?
MONDAY NIGHT
Partly cloudy in the evening, then becoming mostly cloudy. A chance of snow in the evening. Lows in the lower 30s. Chance of snow 30 percent.

TUESDAY
Partly sunny. A chance of rain in the afternoon. Highs in the mid 50s. Chance of rain 30 percent.

Several models have shown a storm during that timeframe. Most likely a cold rain outside of the mountains.
