The one in Pacolet is the one we’ve been watching. I can literally see the cloud tops get taller by the minute. Severe warned now. Pretty awesome

And another! Half inch to inch size hail here right now! Boom! Storm central USA!
Big boom of thunder. Yard is flooded. Absolutely pouring rain. Driving wind. This one is a banger
Went severe warned right over top of my house. Potent hail core. Might be time for an insurance claim and a new roof ??
I think GSP will break their May rainfall record today.
Meh doesn’t look favorable up this way for storms but it sure does around Charlotte NC.

Finally got AWIPS2 CAVE running on an old Windows 7 laptop via a VMWare Workstation CentOS VM with data feed from Allisonhouse EDEX. Not getting any sleep next few days as I play around with this.

Well the tone for this summer is set where I am. Gonna be dry. Storms are missing this area like crazy the last 2 days. Places 2 miles away getting up to an inch while we barely get a drop here.
Maybe a little gusty along that line ?

Too much cloud cover again here. NWS says confidence low on any storms this evening. I would think they would be confined to Charlotte NC area this evening.

GSP is already hinting that late next week could be active. Wind damage would be the main threat.

I think I heard three rumbles of thunder today. WRAL saying we could have severe storms again tomorrow, but I haven't been able to get one decent storm all week.
Almost looks like a small MCS tryna get going, lol, can tell by the area that’s spiraling a bit, the bow echo shape and stratiform region, there’s definitely enough MUcape but ELtemps are unimpressive so it wouldn’t shock me if this thing becomes lower topped or looses lightning, I could be wrong tho
