Wow. Escaped yesterday but now on my third wave of the evening. 1.3 out of the first two, this may be the biggest. Make it stop!
WPC mentions Moderate Risk possible for flooding. Which is what brad p and the twc reads and copies. But WPC said models are not consistent and they don't know yet. So marg..but prob slight risk by tomorrow if qpf ticks up another .1 to .2

Guys I picked up just over 2 in tonight, which brings my yearly total to just over 51 in! This is just crazy land here.

Yeah unfortunately. It has been nuts for the upstate. GSP just passed 40 in. I think they average 48 for a whole year. ?

This year has shades of 2018 when I got 106 inches of rain for the year. Looks like we may make a run at that number unless we have a dry summer.

I wish it were 95 degrees, instead Birmingham will be cooler than Buffalo, NY today. I’d like to use my pool and boat this summer.

The Op Euro has really done a poor job this morning with the rain down in SC/GA. That's the 6 hour rainfall through noon on the Euro. Looks like some moderate rain in central GA/SC right now that it completely missed.
What model showed this rain this AM the best?
Fri looks like a more Convectively active day with perhaps some severe storms given the increase in winds across all layers (850mb/500mb), only thing that reduces the chance is piss poor lapse rates

Interested to see what the euro and uk say for rain tomorrow. Most of the 12z models so far show a fairly large area of rain with a narrow band of 1-3 inches.
After reaching 89°F in March, RDU may challenge the record for the latest 90°F day. Meanwhile some areas in New England are likely going to hit 90°F this week.
What's the latest date?
June 27 in 1983. Doubt it takes that long but the chances of a 90°F day in May are near zero.

It's weird to be looking for days that might hit 90 instead of days that might be sub 90. Saturday has a low end chance of convection is late in the day, late next week probably has a better chance but it doesn't jump off the page
I haven't really looked at the other models for today, just happened to notice the Euro.
Pretty consistent from the 12z runs to bring that area right over us.
All this rain is probably why were seeing much higher cape these past few days and later this week since it can possibly help moisten the PBL a bit more vs a dry ground

No rain to speak of since Friday and not seeing a chance at any until maybe Thursday or Friday. Wednesday now looks very dry in upstate SC. I'm betting our heat lovers will be very happy after early next week.
