Not sure I would trust SFMR data at this point with proximity to land and shallow waters... flight level winds were only 100kts or so.

Yeah with the southern half of the system rapidly improving based on the Houston radar it might see another pressure drop and wind increase... especially if that southern eyewall can go from 30-40dbz up to 50+dbz like the northern one is.

Yeah, it looked like Laura ingested some land air with the mid level undercut of shear that tried to infiltrate into the core, which might be getting burped out now...
She also slowed a bit to 13mph...down from 15 earlier..

Over 100 mile of the Louisiana coastline is now under a tornado warning with the eye-wall moving in next. Dang...

In the eastern eyewall and looks like they nailed it perfectly on this drop... I think with the pressure dropping again and this dropsonde it could be bumped up to 155mph.
