Looks like we might be breaking 960mb... there's another pass coming up soon as well.

UKMET did really good with this one back near Cuba. It remains to be seen but the euro has been the only model for several days to track along NC/VA border vs everyone else way north. They all have their positives and negatives with more to come.

High cat4 and slightly west of everyone else.

Laura continues to deepen, 960mb pegged with a still NW movement... 4 to 5mb drops per hour with an eye size as large as Laura is isn't something very common...and also likely that Laura won't undergo an ERC anytime in the near term...

At this rate, Laura will likely be at CAT 4 status in the next 6 hours...

This may be an unpopular opinion but I believe we are within 6 hours of peak intensity going to CAT 4 but landfall will be high end CAT 2.
I’m going with high end 3 landfall ... that eye is getting more impressive .. it’s going get tighter ...which will help it endure what sheer or even shallow water just before landfall

A weaker higher end cat 2 would cause more damage with the winds expanding vs a CAT4 hitting a smaller rural area. EWRC really expands those winds on all sides of this system.
