Tropical Major Hurricane Irma (Part 2)

On-line for now - power...
Obviously had some spinners last night - could here them from about 1:00 to 3:00 and trees are twisted - have the top of a massive live oak in the front yard as big around as a person's thigh, and about 20' long, and another even bigger sitting on the feeder line into the house - resting on the pole; ergo, when it slips, if the power company doesn't get here 1st, a whole section of folks down the line, and I, will be powerless again.
But, we're all alive, thank God, though the southern headquarters took a hit.
Hope all of y'all up the way are faring well!
Praying for you as I'm sure y'all were doing for us last night!
Best!
Phil
Great to hear from you Phil! Hang in there.

Well, Irma has been a tough old lady. Thankfully we have power. I don’t know how though. I would estimate gusts hit near 60+ mph at times though

Best site to monitor winds/gusts? Try to check weather underground but no one around me has a decent wind guage.
Me and you are both in Cleveland. Lol velocity is over 62 mph on radarscope but thats high up off surface. The tops of the pines and oaks are already swaying!

Its been a fun 2 weeks watching Irma, currently im getting rain and gusty winds nothing to harsh. All this tracking is hope to be, whats to come this winter

A little late but it's wonderful to see that you're fine, Phil. ;)

Hopefully we can get back to a sense of normalcy, even if it means the return of heat, for a while after tomorrow.

A couple of limbs that have fallen in my front yard look like the FSU chief planted them like a spear at midfield before a ball game.
