Tropical Major Hurricane Harvey

Chasing always has it risks but I'm willing a to take those risks. High risk high reward with this one. If I die, this is how I would want it to end. Lol

Still the end of the world for S Texas I see. The only concern I have is that the HMON decides to continue with a nutty strength in the low 920mbs. It hasn't been too bad this year and seems to even been the most conservative of the bunch.
 
My niece and my little great-niece live in Seguin, Tx just outside of San Antonio, her husband is in coast guard out of Galveston... he's on a boat, they head out to ride it out. So I've got some serious vested interest there. I've been keeping them updated and they are heeding warnings.... hoping for the best

we've been talking about it landfalling at 110 mph elsewhere just to extend the streak... lol... some people saying it feels too perfect

I mean its been 12 years so it wouldn't surprise me

Unfortunately it still has plenty of time, notice the tag along blob is blowing up again and also looks like it ingested a little dry air and has just about burped that out....still say it's go time soon

Crazy question I'm sure lol but is it theoretically possible for that blob to separate and become it own system? Tropics isn't my forte but it's interesting to look at!
