It refuses to quit snowing here in South Charlotte.
Like daybreak outside. Must be full moon, all that snow reflecting as ceilings are lifting
At this point it’s just for vibes but it’s still snowing. 17/14
My father was from Wilson County and I have lots of family that live there. I'm glad you are racking up the snow.Almost 10:45pm and 4 inches of snow accumulation in SW Wilson county with heavy snow still falling. A pic of some narly drift action.

Sounds painful. You're gonna be the only resident in the entire state with less than a dusting. That's just really bad luck, man.

Thanks, it’s was worth the wait although painful watching radar today. I caught a little heat about the delay of snow from some friends, but you have to trust the process.

Not sure how when it's being reported that Raleigh has 1.5 to 2 inches now.
The TCLT radar loop is fascinating right now. Lake effect (?) showers pushing east while moisture from the coastal low pushes west over them. Both very light returns of course, but so interesting to look at.
Some unlucky areas for sure, but wow what a storm it has been

ILM 18F 0.5 vis and pouring snow. Warmest station in the state is Hatteras at 34. Mt Mitchell at -9 with a wind chill approaching -40. New Bern had a foot an hour and a half ago

Despite it being 16 degrees outside and not above freezing since yesterday afternoon there's heat in the ground. Late January/early February sun makes a difference and I'm seeing the snow I shovel leave a little slushy layer.

It is now 16 here on my side of IML. Very fine compact snow. About an inch and hoping for more
PGV area around a foot already. Who’s getting 20”?

Gusts have definitely picked up here in the past 10 minutes. Not quite 40 mph but impressive nevertheless. I don't recall seeing true "blowing snow" before, but that is happening here. Checking that one off my precip type list.

In my 52 years this storm reminds me most of Jan 1988 in terms of temps, wind, and flake type…although minus the 13 inches we got on the north side of Pittsboro.
One more and then i have got to sleep. It may not have been 10” but a very memorable storm here.

Can confirm. 30 miles from the ocean and the winds are unreal. Have 3-4' drifts
The rotation around the meso low in the middle of SC is tapping the gulf stream directly. It's nuts down here.
It really is Morehead city radar has it close already
