Wintry Machine Learning Mauler 1/30-2/1

More accurate measurement on a flat parking lot. Alternating between 11.5” - 12.5”. I bet the grassy areas has like 13-14”. First time ever seeing a foot of snow, 2014 I only saw 11. And it’s still snowing heavily with smaller sized flakes. This is a first timer and an all timer here. Just an unbelievable event. It’s driving my internal wannabe MA weenie senses up to, making me hungrier then ever for more. But when it comes to complaining, won’t hear nothing from me for a while. Amazing storm, and something I will definitely tell my future kids and future grandkids. View attachment 193086

@Avalanche have you measured? Let my 135lb great dane out and her feet didn't hit dirt. Guessing 3-4 inches based on her tracks in the snow View attachment 193096
I haven’t. Grass just got completely covered so I’d say that’s good for 2.5. Man just imagine if we hadn’t been dry slotted all day

Somehow reflectivity is increasing again from south to north over Wake County. Wonder what energy is rotating through to blossom things back like this in situ.

Look at the Atlantic moisture making its way west. It’s gotten so far west it seems to be close to interacting with the Charlotte metro area. Take a look at these two screenshots. First is the CoCo from Greenville radar and the second is from Raleigh. I’m no student of meteorology but it seems to me as they get closer together it would generate a blossoming of precipitation in the eastern parts of the Charlotte metro area.

These bands keep merging and its puking right now. Even if the hrrr is half right that's another 3-4 inches and this band and the radar suggest that's probable

Yea I might need to suck it up and shovel once more. Even though it's powdery snow it's somehow heavy. Feels heavier than last January.

Seems like it may be winding down here. I need to measure before bed because it was pouring there for a while. Wondering if we could’ve gotten to 6”. Probably not but here’s to hoping!

Still got -SN.
I’m a little under 4 inches but I think due west and north of me probably got another inch ish! Could still have some off/on showers for a bit but it’s slowed down immensely.
