Which station are you seeing this on? I'm looking at KTCL and several stations surrounding it on Utah Mesowest site and all the stations surrounding TCL have either gone up 0.5 - 1.0 degrees or stopped dropping with this latest batch of heavy precip. I'm also seeing wind out of the east or southeast which would explain what we're seeing. I don't think Tuscaloosa is going to change over. I think it won't drop below freezing until after the precip shield has passed. It might get some wrap around frozen precip after the main body of precip has moved out.

Wow, what an event! Even though I got no snow accumulations and only some sleet and freezing rains, this was still an unforgettable experience. I'm so happy and thankful for the supportive community here on this board, no matter where we are in the southeast. This has been great tracking and experiencing with y'all!

going to be a flash freeze around dark, NAM shows it dropping from 31 to 28 in an hour, then to 25 next hour, etc

Yes, I'm thinking much of the western south is going to be dangerous for getting out tonight. Best to hunker in place until things begin to thaw, unless absolutely necessary to travel.

Sleet saved us from significant freezing rain accumulation. It transitioned very quickly once the precip got heavier.
