Wintry King Kong Winter Storm Potential Feb 13th-16th

Huh. I guess the 18z NAM and latest few iterations of the HRRR were right that Tuscaloosa would hang out right above freezing before torching to 35+ before the precip moved out. Hard to see Tuscaloosa dropping below freezing until right after sunset. I would think this really helps work crews to sand and treat major roads and bridges.

I mean I might have had a flake or 2 but it basically sounded like heavy rain for 2 or 3 hours last night and 3 hours today. If we can put some snow on this later tonight or a few days from now it’ll be harder to melt off with all the sleet underneath.

Despite bright sunshine there has been very little melting here and the roads are awful my car kept saying I had no traction well yeah lol
