Wintry King Kong Winter Storm Potential Feb 13th-16th

Forecast high today bust by 5 degrees... 53 from FFC... 47 at 115 pm... near Franklin Ga on Al line.. I want something frozen!!! Don’t care ice, sleet , snow!!! Hoping the low takes a southerly track... and the models underestimate the push from west with all that frozen precipitation on the ground! A girl can hope can’t she???? I’ve seen waaaay too many forecast busts this winter... even day before... precipitation and temperature busts... both ways, up one side down the other and around the middle.

What I'm seeing on some of the newer runs is just insane cold blasting in tonight further east and much colder than what's currently forecast. I'm not sure if it'll be 28 or 20 here tomorrow morning or even colder. I'm pretty sure any areas where there's a lot of water standing there'll be ice tomorrow due to a flash freeze especially further W in AL.
GFS has me at 18 in the morning. I could probably skate in my yard if that happens.

It's taken only a little over an hour for me to go from 49 down to 40 degrees. The wx stations surrounding Tuscaloosa seems to have stalled out at around 33 with a dewpoint just below freezing. Interesting to see what this batch of heavy precip is about to do there. Tuscaloosa may end up with a super cold rain at just above 32 degrees or it might drop and they see a changeover.

Edit: Now down to 39.

Is the storm development to the South of this system robbing some of the moisture feed in the mid area of this storm? Yes, the moisture is very intense, but it's basically like a few hour period of very heavy snow, sleet, or freezing rain in areas of Mississippi & Alabama. Idk, could be dead wrong, would love to hear what areas of Miss (especially central Miss) and Alabama are seeing.

That's amazing...
College Station, TX thundersnow episode this morning didn't occur from CSI ... (Slantwise convection) but from standard vertical thunderstorm development with tops to 22k...
Love to see a video if you cone across one. That sounds awesome
