Wintry King Kong Winter Storm Potential Feb 13th-16th

Today is day number 10 of temps not getting above freezing. After Friday I will be ready for spring.
I didn’t have a high below freezing for a year until Wednesday. It hasn’t gone above 30 since and probably won’t go above freezing till Sunday. Pingers picking up now and sounds like kids throwing pebbles at my garage!

I'm finally at 32.5. Heavy sleet with some snow in NW Lauderdale Co. with temp down to 19 from one report. Edit: winds shifted to NW, temp starting to fall here, back down to 32

Austin just got it's biggest snowstorm since 1949! Widespread 4-6 inch amounts. Historic Mongolian sfc high = historic Madrid snowfall. Historic Alaskan sfc High = Historic Austin, San Antonio, and Houston snowfall.

The super-hyped SSWE did it's job this winter even if it didn't affect my area.

That’s a good point honestly. We can’t know who will benefit from the PV but clearly it was epic. I-95 corridor is warm by comparison. Some will score for climo reasons only.
