Agree, other than a few models runs late yesterday that peaked our hopes this was never a significant event for the Birmingham area.Fully expect kbmx to drop the watches and add winter weather advisories for black ice tomorrow night and light freezing drizzle as the system lifts out

As for ground truth...my low was forecast to be 35 F°. You make the call...

I'm SW of Birmingham in between BHM and TCL. I've actually seen my temp rise to 37-38 after being at 36 about half an hour ago. Make of that what you will.
I'm at 28 just north of madison31 here in Huntsville. Monte Sano trees sagging already
Looks like the 12 and 3ks shifted just a little west with the warm front/inverted trough tomorrow. I would not want to see my sfc winds gain any east component.Nam is a furnace

I’m in McCalla and I thought my temp was going up as well when I got in my car a little bit ago, but I’m at 33 now.Now I know why. Stepped outside...being bathed in a rather heavy drizzle. Likely WAA rearing its head.
Brad Travis is riding the colder model. Saying the models are under estimating the cold. View attachment 75067
drive to huntsville tomorrow and I will show you a real dadI guess when you crash, crash hard!
Please explain?? You have been trolling all day.... Let's play a game you and me.I guess when you crash, crash hard!
but that advection is primarily at the 850-700mb level, not the surface, right?Current temps are irrelevant with the WAA blasting northward tomorrow

So you don't give any hope in the artic air and national weather service saying this is going to happen in these areas?I’ve been saying it for 2 days, and will reiterate it none last time. This is going to end up a non-event for AL with the exception of the extreme NW counties. Even HSV/Madison County looks like they will get blasted with the warm nose as the low starts maturing. Even up into TN is going to struggle east of Nashville. This thing is going to torch.
this guy been like this all day.So you don't give any hope in the artic air and national weather service saying this is going to happen in these areas?
