I'm sickly and selfishly rooting for just enough ZR to not cause power outages (at my house) but enough to glaze the roads so that I don't have to work Tuesday (Monday is a Holiday). :cool: I've never been under the delusion that my location would be snow. However, seeing anything frozen here at the Capital of the I-20 Snow Hole is just gravy. I do hope for minimal damage and loss for the ones that see extreme ice, as always.

I really haven't looked at this a it since I gave up but I would really be watching the 700/850 maps if I were in your area. You can see the problems that exist in Al into MS

It's a nice case here for low level cold to over perform and maybe get freezing rain to Bham or sightly east.

If it makes it to KBMX it would def document the troubles models have with with very shallow arctic air (especially in our region).
 
I’m so excited about the wx history looking to be made at DFW next week! For a wx history geek like me, the week is hard to beat as regards how anomalous it is looking there.

@Brent must be in heaven and/or in shock right now!
 
I mean this is just ridiculous lol, if models continue to struggle with the shallow arctic air, freezing rain is gonna be farther SE 3E9BAF94-6DEB-443E-94C1-9831A9A1A7CE.gif
