Half an inch last night. 3.05” for July, just surpassed 30” on the year. I’m about 8-10 miles from the 3-5” of Bsprings
It's been nice for it to not be oppressive first thing in the morning.
3 cams including the hi res v3 has a big multicell cluster/loosely organized MCS tomorrow while the nam/hrrr is more spotty

I ended up with 6" from the storms in the afternoon and last night. Have a friend that lives on the NC/SC border just west of Chesnee and he can confirm that they had nearly a foot of rain as the storm last night just stayed stationary for hours and the creeks and small rivers are really moving today.

Last week at the beach we had days with the heat index around 100-110. It wasn’t bad because we had a nice breeze. It was great weather. I’ll be back down in a few days. ?

Temperatures around my area have actually been somewhat lower then forecast so far. Had a forecast high of 98, but the highest I’ve seen here so far is 93 and I would say time is running out for it to go much higher.
Meanwhile, in Phoenix...
I guess it was an intra-hour high, because now it's back down to 99*F as of 4pm.

They will be near 100 tomorrow. Doesnt take them long to warm up.
The real story is that 72*F dewpoint. You don't see that often in the desert.
That's higher than Houston's current dewpoint.

Current high there is only 79, which if it holds for the day they would tie the coldest July day ever.
I'd be surprised if it holds, as it seems the rain is coming to a end.
Either way, still quite unusual weather.

Not impossible. Main threat tomorrow is wind with a small hail threat. It'll be interesting to see how much organization we can get to the north and NW closer to the better shear and how well it can hold together
I think the flash flooding is the biggest threat tomorrow. GSP is forecasting low 90s here tomorrow with heat index 100-103. That’s some juicy air to work with and the storms look to be slow movers

Ended up topping out at 95 for the second day in a row.
On another note some pretty ambitious storms are developing and trying to head my way, although it’s gonna be real close. Apparently, a 70 mph wind gust was reported a few minutes ago in the eastern most storm. Gotta love these summer patterns!
if that hrrr solution happened, man I would be pissed !

Definitely going to be some wonky radar tracking going on next several days .. storms doing weird things probably some storms enveloping in random places and even lasting through the night in some cases

Actually had a breezy outflow and crossed paths with a rain shower tonight while out working dinner lol color me surprised
Definitely a weird year. Even the "death ridges" are still dirty with tropical dewpoints and a fair amount of strong/severe convection.

I'm thinking today's a swing and a miss. I'm just not filled with confidence about today.
Good god the medium to long range Gfs has clouds and moisture around for a while .. only few days get above 90 and there are some that stay in the 60s … obviously high Dewpoint’s but wow this pattern ain’t going nowhere if anything things could get more wet and cloudy
Also .. it’s eh but some people will be happy ??
