Today's high at DFW was 102*F.

A few areaa around the Metroplex (not mine) did see some brief heavy showers that billowed up off the outflow boundary from the storms to the NW. And it did knock temps down into the low 90s

Even despite a fair amount of cirrus, isolated convection firing over the Metroplex by early afternoon and outflow boundaries galore, DFW still managed an intra-hour 100°F today. ?

I have never had a year (til now) when I've only cut my grass 3 times by July 30th. I know a lack of rainfall takes its toll, but dang didn't know grass would become stationary in summer.

That was me last year. Mowed it maybe 4 times tops. This summer it literally is storming and raining every afternoon lately and needs cutting every week.
