Am I reading it right though? Wouldn't this mean warmer temps with the trough moving westward, not just the shortwave, right? Totally prepared to be surprised once the surface stuff comes out or we see what happens in the later hours - just my read on it based on what I've been learning the last few days.

That is true but I dont think they'll get anywhere near 2014 levels. That mightve been the best antecedent conditions I'd ever seen up to that point in my life.
