Looks like a few more hours of rain to go. Sigh.
There's still a lot of rain mixed in, we likely won't get even a dusting at this rate
I'm getting mostly light snow.
Yeah, we can crank out some rain.
Not light anymore, large flakes coming down.
Might as well be mid summer

Transitioning to mostly snow with giant flakes in Cary. I’d say 80/20. One might say “mashed potato” sized flakes
Yeah, this is some of the largest flakes I've ever seen. Basically snowballs falling from the ski.

Interesting. Returns popping up on Huntsville radar as well. Actually look a little more robust.
I'd expect this one to go down as a "T" in the RDU record books, despite having a WWA issued. RDU has not seen measurable snow in January since January 17, 2018, and January is typically our snowiest month.
I think that’s going to change in a big way this month

No mixing at all here west of downtown Raleigh. Nothing.
Turning to all snow here in Raleigh by PNC arena
Little bit of a band building in let’s see if it can drop anything
IP/sn mix but quickly eroding from the north, interesting though this patch has been in that spot for nearly 2 hrs

A nice (normal) light snow now. Those large flakes I saw earlier made this event worth it.
Edit: It's picking back up. Still nothing like earlier but a moderate snow now. Porch is covered.

Back to just rain here. mping reports of snow to my north and south. Even the thin layer of sleet that accumulated on my deck has melted away lol. Brutal.
