Here’s my final tally it has ended here. This is my 4-8 inches National Weather Service called for! They still said 4 to 6 inches possible in the afternoon update when nothing was indicating that was possible???
This is what I ended up with! Pitiful forecasting! The good thing is we will have multiple opportunities before spring.............................

Precip is pretty light here now and looking at radar I don't see how it's going to pick back up again. Wouldn't call it more than a dusting but it looked very nice when the big parachutes were falling. I really hope the band intensifies and someone cashes in with a nice event.
HRRR suggests western Wake will see snow mixing in by 6pm EST, doesn't seem likely based on current radar

I know I’ve said this a few times but this is eerily similar to feb 2013 
Snow Gods are really trying my patience this winter.. the Christmas storm literally missed us with accumulating snow by 20 miles (no elevation issues) and now this.. A 2100' mountain overlooking downtown Chattanooga, where there was nothing but cold upper 30s rain the entire event:

Got some snow mixing in here.
It may not end having the rates that Feb 2013 had, but looking at the radar, it looks like it might take longer to pivot through.

Myers Park...still with a mostly rain/snow mix...but 500 feet up it's coming down.
One thing I hate about these kinds of wet snowfalls after rains is how inconsistently it accumulates because of puddles, standing water, etc. Reminds me of the January 2013 ULL a bit in that regard.
Inching is the key
That looks way better on radarscope than it does on NWS radar. I don't have the app, but I am due east of CLT near 485 and it's snowing pretty good now. You think those heavier will pivot in our direction?
