It may not mean much but the extended 00z hrrr is significantly wetter than either NAM. More proof NaM may be too dry.

SREF plumes are out (I hate the SREF). 2-4“ on the mean for the Charlotte, Triad, and Triangle areas.

These things are absolute garbage. I think they are just variations of the DGEX (kidding) but they suck.

Out to 33 and the nam is stronger and further south
SREF looks much more bullish off of Wxbell!! I believe they are the NAM's ensemble members. They say don't buy into that model.

Not to count my chickens before they hatch but this sucker is digging much better this run.
Would be nice if we could strengthen the ULL on the NAM. 
I may be wrong, but I like H5 better this run, the thorns (N/S energy in Canada and digging trough around Montana) backed off

Nam is slightly north at 45. Precip is further north. We’re riding a fine line of weak ULL but wanting it to move slightly north of I20

Might get some backside snow this run, NAM is not completely there but sorta took a step to the euro/gfs
850s and 925s are better for NC at hr 57. Worse for the Upstate.

The warm nose really showing the ugly side on this run. All through the backside for GA as well.

850's are scorching across NGA on the 00Z compared to the 18z. 5-6 degrees warmer.

They were way warm in the upstate. I know it’s the nam thermals but even I got to question them being as warm as they were from 6z to 12z

Once it switched however it just dumped it on the upstate from day break until after lunch.

3K nam was much colder (sub 0c) in the upstate at 850 much much quicker and earlier than the nam

Never, and the Rock means never question the Nam thermals, especially when they're warm.

Maybe this is the beginning of the NAM showing something on the backside, the front part of the system was never gonna work out anyways 
FWIW the 3k way more bullish. Not that it's incredibly accurate at this range.
