Interesting no model sniffing out the current precip breaking out back over Louisiana, Arkansas and eastern Oklahoma that I can find anyway. But beginning to get some ground truth though through mPing now and over last hour. Hi res show some snow showers across central Alabama tomorrow but again nothing currently
Interesting need to watch and see if we can bump up dew points just a tick then parts of AL andcYa could get a little surprise here... Not a trend just an observation ATM
You know how many times the models have failed about taking too long to moisten up. If we can snag some snow showers that would be a huge win.

Why is it that this NAM run has the L closer to the coast but there's less precip being thrown back?
Double barrel lows again, shocker.... precip more expansive west so far, however, that is a raging virga storm in upstate SC (checked soundings)

Wetter on the NW side, some nice precip banding that the 18z didn’t have at 20hrs

Hmmm the NAM might have officially reeled me back in. It's nothing big, but with this cold air it'd be nice if it actually verified (and as we've seen before in 2014, any snow that actually DOES occur more than thought will be a big issue).

It's doing just that, I swear looks even closer to the coast this time too
edit: actually much closer to the coast, shift west..

19° and steady dropping here, low was forecast to be 20°
12K NAM does some weird things in NE SC and SE NC lol
