Wintry January 21-23 2025

Really, really weird storm here. Now freezing rain mixing back in at 25 degrees in some of the areas like West Ashley. You can go like 5 miles and go from 3” of snow to 1/4 of sleet and 1/10” or more of freezing rain. Whatever snow that does fall is gonna be caked on and not melt very easily if at all for days

🤷‍♂️ if we actually stay cloudy thru 10-11am then roads will not be a lot better than they are now. We’ll see

Last about an hour tomsleet but back to snow and moderate snow at that. We will.seee how long before the switch back to sleet takes. May never get an accurate measurement tomorrow with all.the wind and blowing snow and now sleet compaction
 
How are my Wilmington folks doing? The radar looks great right now for y’all. It has to be ripping!
 
Anyone here in the Douglas/Waycross, Ga. area? The radar is on fire and curious if all snow or mixing issues. I used to live in Douglas so know this is a once in a lifetime event for that area.
 
Somebody that knows more than the weather channel app - how much longer do we have in the good stuff in Greenville NC before that western edge of precip reaches us?! 🙏🏼

Bummed a bit since it snowed for 7-8 hours & didn’t even add up to an inch, but hey at least it snowed. Areas just East of CAE will probably end up with a few inches. Good luck to everyone else. Enjoy the ups & downs of tracking it. But admittedly it’s a storm I’ll look back on with annoyance lol night crew!

Ugh. Of all the folks I was really hoping would see something really good. This man. A guy who makes excellent videos and really cares about delivering the info (thanks btw).

Sure, I’m a little salty about Florida getting more snow than I’ve ever seen in my hometown of Atlanta (though I’ve seen more. I once saw 2 feet in a day in Salt Lake City on the craziest business trip ever). But it’s a serious bummer seeing some folks miss out.

Was hoping you got something more. Got 5:5 inches at my house. I-95 special if you ask me
 
Went for a little drive, the roads are absolutely awful right now, especially back roads. But even main roads are just a sheet of black ice, even the main brined roads
