I wonder if there was some enhancement from Lake Pontchartrain. This is completely unprecedented.
Charleston has had 2 better snows than Columbia the last 7 yrs. Crazy. My goodness, the big winter storms of 2010, 2018, and now have had some fabulous bright banding and high DbZ for snow in the Lowcountry
I think it might go to 5AM in Myrtle Beach. I can’t imagine how much we will have by then.I’ll say this if this goes until 7am… lol wtf
1993 didn't get 6 inches there? It's kind of sad that there was 6" here in Americus, GA today and 130 miles north at Hartsfield-Jackson there hasn't been a 6" snowfall since 1983.
no only 4" at the airport officially, much more to the north and west1993 didn't get 6 inches there?
In some ways this storm is even more impressive than the 1993 blizzard because of the locations that got so much snow.Just due to the gulf coast snows this will go down as an historic winter storm! My backyard didn’t receive anything but man I’m so happy for all those getting hit by this one! Low country looking to get hammered now!

I think the airport only got 4” while areas in the metro got 12”. The airport is in a terrible spot for snow climo in the ATL metro, being south of town and at lower elevation.1993 didn't get 6 inches there?
How Far are you from Myrtle Grove area ?This is looking down my street rn
