ILM radar shows some moisture way up in the column over wake
Man I’m skeptical. But let’s go!RAP increased totals along the northern/western edges. 1 inch up to Atlanta now. Let's see if it verifies.
The column probably isn't fully saturated. I've yet to see anything here at work in southeast Columbia. Here as well. It starts then stops, starts then stops.
I saw a few flurries(and by few I mean few) off and on throughout the late morning but the last hour nothing but darker clouds. Is it not at least light snowing in all of ATL right now? Seems like it should be per radar.
Yup a few flurries at best...sadWith the Lighter Precip and the very Dry in place. No way Northern upstate North of 85 Is Seeing anything out of this. The dry Air just gonna eat it alive
Nope, nothing yet.Is it not at least light snowing in all of ATL right now? Seems like it should be per radar.
RAP/NAM3k have us picking up dewpoint up to 15-17 degrees over the next in the next 3-4 hours before dropping back down so we shall see if that doesn't happen no snow for us really need that moisture to move further northMy DP in Dallas has dropped from 5.5 to 3.9 in the last couple of hours
Sorry for the one liner, but what is a TDWR?Easier to see the snow on the TDWR for ATL. It’s matching up with the snow reports View attachment 166386
Terminal Doppler weather radarSorry for the one liner, but what is a TDWR?
Made a comparison to 1895 in here last week (link below). Although this one isn't going to work out in my area, it's really cool to see such a cold and stormy outcome way down on the gulf coast in this day and age of climate change etc. Gives some hope going into the near future. For those with an extensive history of weather, does this storm fit very well as an analog to the 1895 Valentine's Day Event? I think largely so, but with a better precipitation shield across Georgia/SC/Florida.
