From radar observations were closing in on moistening up the entire column. I’d say 1 or 2 more hours to go and you should start seeing snow fly!man I’m so thirsty for an mping snow report ANYWHERE in metro Atlanta.

Savannah included in that?I don’t think mixing will be as much of a problem near coastal regions as some could think. Could be looking at a widespread area of 4-8 from SC to NC coastal regions!
Dang! That's a bummer. Would've thought you would've had something down there by now.Still nothing in LaGrange, but clouds look darker and humidity is up to 38% on the deck.

Why it seem like it’s taking forever to saturate the eastern midlands? We have saturated the column in Columbia! The event is starting! Light snow!
Can someone explain what those green hashed marks mean? It’s right over me about 1 mile south of Carowinds.
Is it moving up 85?? Or due east?
It’s taking forever because the precip is so darn light. The column is just bending instead of crashing like with the last storm. Why it seem like it’s taking forever to saturate the eastern midlands?
Flakes have started now. Not much, but I think it’s about to dump.Pine mountain friend reported snow flurries beginning just now
Roanoke Rapids 1-2My useless snow forecast for NC for what it’s worth:
Chapel Hill / Durham: 1-2”
Raleigh: 1-3”
Greenville, NC: 3-6”
Charlotte: 1-2” (probably more like T-1” at the airport)
Greensboro: T-1”
I usually am too high with these because I’m a weenie.
It's dry as a desert above us at 5-6 degree dewpoint most of the day and not really budged sadly doesn't look like its gonna happen for anybody north of I-20 maybe outside of ATLSitting at 1,250-1,300 ft here in NW Paulding county and haven’t seen anything fall yet
also the airmass is continuously getting refreshed with cold dry air with north winds. last event didn't have a lot of wind at 2mIt’s taking forever because the precip is so darn light. The column is just bending instead of crashing like with the last storm.
I came through Clemson on the way to easley 15 min ago and thought I saw some dandruff..bit figured it was leftover salt dust...lolAnd.... right after I post if I don't know if it's going to snow or not here... it starts flurrying!!!! let's go!!!
I've been saying this for a while....the dry air is really getting supplied. Unless you get under, and stay under, some heavy precip, it's just not going to produce.also the airmass is continuously getting refreshed with cold dry air with north winds. last event didn't have a lot of wind at 2m
