The 5-day mean
Any shade of a warmer color = automatic torch ?
There may be some bad runs upcoming but I don’t see how this gets worse, I see this getting better actually tbh

The further north that block gets the more cold air starts draining down into the CONUS,
We’re closing in on fantasy storm time ... can’t wait to see the scenarios the models spit out ... I haven’t been through a legitimate-NAO regime like this in a very long time and I’m excited to see what it has in store for us. The blocking just seems like a huge key to how our storms will evolve this winter and if it stays as long as advertised ... we couldn’t possibly get... a weekly Wednesday snow like we did for like a straight month maybe in 2010 but I think it was another time .. it was wild tho

Our monster extratropical cyclone in the N Pacific is down to 928mb this morning with some deepening still left to go
That is epic like. Wow.

The GFS is joining the euro with a 1/6-1/7 start to the SSW event (previously had it starting later in the month)
No surprise here 
this look is just a weenie pattern atp, lol
