Need some ridging toward the Arctic circle and not a trough over the NW.I do want to know what do we need to see happen to get in a colder pattern for east of the Rockies? In all seriousness? Will we get any cold from the SSW 30-45 days after the event or is that a fallacy? What to look for or what to watch for?
A -pna is definitely not good. I guess convection is in the maritime continent or we wouldn't be having this pattern.I do want to know what do we need to see happen to get in a colder pattern for east of the Rockies? A -PNA doesn’t matter, as long as there isn’t ridging in the east. To get massive cold, we need strong riding over/north of Alaska to promote cross polar flow.A -pna is definitely not good. I guess convection is in the maritime continent or we wouldn't be having this pattern.
