Birmingham make that call?
Still hard for me to see this and believe I'm NOT getting snow. It looks like a lock; I'd take it every time. If only the high stayed over top of that low...Sleet on this HRRR run is very close to me.![]()
YepBirmingham make that call?
AGREEDGive me an inch of snow and a BAMA win tomorrow and I’ll call it a winter
Yep, HUN is punting until later, typical..they often don't issue one until it's already happeningBirmingham make that call?
Yep. They will wait till it’s snowingYep, HUN is punting until later, typical..they often don't issue one until it's already happening
Yup very typical of Huntsville. They wait to like 10 tonight.Yep, HUN is punting until later, typical..they often don't issue one until it's already happening
BMX doesn't seem very certain about anything at this point. Sounds like they are majorly hedging their bets right now. Can't blame them this situation seems to be changing by the hour.
Current storm is indeed further south than HRRR run. Models can't keep up with this storm because of the hour by hour changes occurring. Is the low trending a bit further south each HRRR run or is that me not seeing it right?
Can you blame them though? Also, I don't think the general public consumes those discussions, thrust see the twitter graphic, which is a little more bullish.Huntsville holding off. Smh.

How I wish that verifies it's been a few years since we've had a good snow in central alabama ?Some heavy snow![]()
Hard to look at a frame like that and not think that 9 times out of 10, we'd also be dancing in NC.
I believe frozen precip will be further south than what that shows. My temp forecast tonight is 33. I'm basing this off nothing but guessing lol.
I was thinking the same exact thing. Such a shame. However, GSP does mention a small chance of a mix Mon night for MBY.Hard to not look at a frame like that and not think that 9 times out of 10, we'd also be dancing in NC.
Looks like Dallas got caught in a RDU fail zone nice band to the north and south View attachment 64817
Boy that is even getting close here
They follow the site. Cold rain is what is has been all winter and will be going forward . Pure pain. ?lol at them calling it a cold rain.
Just rubbing it in...
To put things into perspective, Austin is at the same latitude as Jacksonville, FL. Good luck ever getting that much snow in Jacksonville ! I guess Austin's 500' elevation is why they get more snow than Jacksonville. My son lives just outside Austin TX and he sent me some pics of their snow this afternoon. He measured 3" on his deck and still coming down. Biggest event in 16 yrs... if they get 1.5 more inches will be the biggest event in 35 yrs.
Yeah I'm driving back and wow the snow cutoff was uglyyyyy it went from amazing to meh real fast
Okay it's not zero here in Waxahachie but it's barely a dusting
I love how they issue a special weather statement and in the statement it says " little to no accumulation and no associated impacts expected". So why issue a SWS if there will be no impacts ?I'm under a "special weather statement"
