Wintry Jan 6-7 2022 Winter potential

The thing is it’s the euro control .. so that’s usually never right but then again this is the control at hour 66 sooo it should have somewhat of a clue being so close to the event … regardless this looks like a fairly quick and small system so I really wouldn’t get too excited even if these trends continued … more of a novelty event than anything

This thing is really trending south quickly. So much so that even the upstate is in on what I believe would be snow based on the control. Now it doesn’t show any snow accumulation based on the totals which indicates it would be sleet. However with the 850’s that cold and the surface being right at or slightly below freezing I would almost bet it’s a snow sounding.
6 hour precip panel is very deceiving here, this system is a quick mover, verbatim on the control that’s not a snow or sleet setup for the upstate, it might appear as if, but the 6hr precip panel is showing precip the last 6 hours, when in reality at hour 66, it’s already passing central NC/VAD9175814-FDD7-44CD-8107-874461563370.pngA7362932-49DF-46BD-BAB9-9E4F9A08EA49.png
