GFS has snow here from hour 144 to 156, and then another round from 162 to 165.

Euro had a similar run on Sunday. If we can get that EURO run back today, we'd be in business.
Same here. There's also always been something to say for having a fresh, steady supply of dry, Arctic air. That's all you need, regardless of how you get it.

I still get 6" but those on the southern edge likely get more snow on this run. Snow soundings galore under Ice maps

I keep seeing system 2 getting squashed away but 3 pushing it's remnants through. The potential seems greater there since we have two waves in a row with cold locked in.

The GFS and Euro have gone their separate ways as far as the January 6th storm and it would be nice to see them on the same page with the look that the latest GFS run just gave us. It won't be too long before we see what the Euro has to say about this.

At this range you can’t be mad at this. Cold press almost guaranteed to moderate as we get closer to due date. Deep breaths.
GFS making this way harder than it has to be. You got energy flying around everywhere. Just give us the pretty blue colors or else.

This look can still work for southern sliders
I can smell the wedging
Gfs breaks down the nao and goes west at the end of the run but had the strat pvs in north america. 6z AI kept the -nao around through the run. The back end of this pattern has some high potential imo but it seems like it will be a mixed mess

I’m not really buying the -NAO breaking down that quickly like some of these are showing. You start pumping it as much as being shown through week 1 and early week 2 it’s going to be very difficult to break that down quickly. Strong -NAO’s have staying power
