We still have power but starting to hear transformers going in the distance. SR 208 is trucks only at this stage and 4x4, no cars out as they just can’t handle the roads.

All snow here now. Much earlier than expected.
Still don’t notice any snow mixing in here, but I live in the armpit of Durham when it comes to wintry weather, it seems.

Youll be all snow for quite a bit of time left. Fill us in on how much you get. I was wondering where the axis point of front end snow and deformation band snow was going to be yesterday. You found it and congrats man!!!

I'll eat the Crow. I'm pleasantly surprised.
However, it is likely that they could’ve gotten a lot more to stick if the conditions were better. Especially on the roads.
Ended up with between 4-5" here near downtown Huntsville. This one definitely over performed. I can't remember the last time that happened here. Good southern snow, not too wet. Temperature has dropped since sunrise.

Currently, 32.4 with big flakes of heavy snow since dawn. Ground is white. Roads and sidewalks are slushy.
RAH kept poopooing this system for my area, but I felt that good rates could overcome ground temps if we were patient. This is probably the best snow I’ve had in three years. (Last two winters underperformed.)

We got snow mixing in!!!!!
About 50/50 snow/sleet.
