CHANGES WITH THIS ADVISORY:

A Storm Surge Warning is now in effect from Ocracoke Inlet North
Carolina to Oregon Inlet North Carolina.

A Tropical Storm Warning is now in effect north of Stonington Maine
to Eastport Maine.

The Tropical Storm Warning and Storm Surge Warning south of the
South Santee River has been discontinued.
 
No kidding. Am I crazy or does this thing look to be moving more due north recently
Definitely has a more northward component at the moment. Keeps this up I'm gonna end up on the east side, oh it's also kicking into high gear.

ugh right......had to have the A/C guy come out today the unit outside popped a capacitor and now I wont even be able to use it if this goes like those wind maps show.....the worse part of these things is trying to sleep when the power ( A/C ) is out and its 80 degrees at night after the storms....

Hurricane Isaias Tropical Cyclone Update
NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL AL092020
1115 PM EDT Mon Aug 3 2020

Doppler radar imagery and surface observations indicate that eye of
Hurricane Isaias made landfall in southern North Carolina
around 1110 PM EDT (0310 UTC) near Ocean Isle Beach, with maximum
sustained winds of 85 mph (140 km/h).

A weather station at Oak Island, North Carolina, recently reported
sustained winds of 76 mph (122 km/h) and a gust to 87 mph (140
km/h).

A data buoy near the coast of North Carolina has recently reported
a minimum pressure of 988 MB (29.18 inches).
