Tropical Hurricane Ida

What's up with the nam being a good 100-200 miles away from landfall than the gfs euro..? Is the nam that bad at tropical systems?

Well Brick to be honest google analytics tells me we have people who read this board as members or guests and they are in the area that could see significant impacts from the system at or shortly after landfall. To better streamline the passing of information to those folks that could see a life altering event it makes some sense to take the posts away into another thread that do not pertain to them. On top of that people in areas where the remnant circulation may cause tornadoes or flooding likely want to discuss that but that information may get buried in this thread or they may refrain from posting bc they don't think it's important enough. Either solution of keeping it all here or splitting it will cause some level of grief but having information easily available to members is what we want to do versus an amalgamated mega thread with posts relating to 5 different things
 
Here’s my two cents, since “gulf locals” do not and should not use this site for evacs or the latest info just leave it all here. I also think tropical should combine to general weather not separate. We know most here are locals to inland weather and creating multiple separate things honestly hurts the reading material for the majority.
