CAD pushing a little further south at Hr 18. Likely splitting hairs but our 1024 mbar was in the northern midlands on the previous and now it's in the southern midlands towards orangeburg. Again every little thing matters.

The High is much further south at Hr 30 and is pushing the CAD more compared to 12z.

I'm officially under a winter storm watch.
This run is more favorable for ice,
I could tell already off H5

Brad P still touting that most of the piedmont will have very little in the way of ice. Kinda disappointed that he has become so conservative that he fails to mention other scenarios that could wreak havoc for more areas...

Ice actually looks the same this run on the 12km but It became more snowier in VA
Wait a minute... becoming more strung out again, this favors the more inland low tracking in further and the coastal one developing late 
NAM3km warmer this run with ice farther north, this is why you can’t really trust it in the LR

Nam was warmer by a degree and really shut the ice out quickly in the upstate. Northern greenville and spartanburg still received around a tenth of an inch but still plenty of time to change.
Well, if that verifies then Brad would be correct in his forecast. CAD forecasts will never be easy. It’s going to come down to the last minute, I would think.

Looks to me that the footprint is shrinking (warmer on the fringes) but the immediate CAD areas are actually getting a bit colder.
Yeah imo if we continue this into 00z i may trim the ice back toward the foothills/very NW piedmont

Would love to get some of this snow but only this model shows it...
We shall see. I’m holding on for a little bit of hope that we will get some decent ice accumulations. (No I don’t want a catastrophic ice storm). I just want a moderate one. Especially for the pictures and day off. I wouldn’t bet much on that happening though. Let’s see what the next suit brings us.
