Yes. The ridge flexed. I’m still feeling a colder model run is on the horizon and we will get a better overrunning look.

For an ensemble mean 9 days out this is pretty impressive cold being shown to the west of the Mississippi. Note that this is the afternoon hours too.

Shad run has started and it's the best fishing this time of year. Last 3 years we have had major flooding during the short 6 week run. Nothing changing this year as the rivers already expecting to even before the 1-2 inches tomorrow.

We need dry weather for 2-3 weeks but it's looking wet wet wet.

Looks like the cold air just dries everything up. I definitely think if the trough digs deep enough, Dallas could see something, but I definitely think Bufordwx is in a great spot.

Seems like the GFS is struggling with the PV and doesn’t have a real sense of the cold press.

The cold blast during the latter half of next week into the weekend is looking more and more legit around here. OUN is also mentioning the chance of multiple snow events during this timeframe as well.

Seems like in winters where we had good snowy Feb’s that Jan ended with a bang for the East. Then the first week of February it’s winter cancel but then things look up middle Feb. That’s my hope.
