Here's I-24 in Chattanooga near I-75, and the only thing on radar are very narrow stripes of 5-10dbz lol.

I had light flurries on and off all through the night and the radar was clear all night and the snow started sticking before 7am this morning be the radar showed anything. Want be long until we have a inch out of this band at these rates.

The clear-air radar is blossoming pretty good on the NW side of ATL and in particular, NE Alabama. Some people in these areas may see a car topper this AM.

GSP is describing it as an arctic front, which makes sense....but I wonder if it continues to be sort of this single line so to speak. Typically with a GSP mesolow in these setups, the precip will slow down a bit and stand in the frontogenesis. May not get that as much this time with a less defined mesolow and convergence zone. We'll see shortly

Seems like precip is stretching back in that band per radar. Would that be a sign of the mesolow forming?

It's been absolutely pouring snow for the past 1/2 hr.. about an 1" so far. Unlike yesterday, this stuff stuck immediately to the roads. Within 10 min of starting they were white. I drove down I-77 luckily before all the accidents piled up.
