You might get a half inch out of that little blob this evening.Back snowing here
The Christmas lights really help set the mood! Hopefully yall squeeze out another inch or 2!View attachment 170952
Finished up a good long walk in the best rates of the day, sitting on the front porch soaking it in now. Prolly about 2” here. Still snowing moderately. What a beautiful day!
I’d be surprised but it seems like we have a good shot and keeping up some mood flakes at the least once this back end finally scoots out of here. This has been an exceptional event for me without any more, feel blessed to have a good one before I graduateThe Christmas lights really help set the mood! Hopefully yall squeeze out another inch or 2!
I’m a little curious how the ice is doing along and west of US 17 or if it has been mainly sleet there
Some heavy bands redeveloping to the SW of CLT. Wow

Very little deviationAgain I will say, the GFS called this storm. I am somewhat shocked but my hat is off to it.
depending on spot measured, im in the 3.5-4.5 range too -- so i guess we might end up right at the same after all!Just got back from a long walk. Snow stopped a little after 6pm and down to flurries now. Just measured some spots and it looks like we got 3.5”, although less on paved areas, etc. Probably could’ve even gotten more if the snow started a couple hours later, but a great storm, my biggest personally in a decade. ALL HAIL THE NEW KING: THE GFS!!!
EDIT: Measured a few other spots at 4.5”, tough one with variable accumulation depending on north / south facing hills with the February sun angle.
Not sure about that.Very little deviation
0.3 todayI have magical flurries dropping down into the lee side Sahara
Trying to pull a straight flush here of downward snow totals for the winter…

Nice! Congrats to you and everyone who’ve eclipsed the 3” mark! That’s a big milestone these days it seems. Makes everything picturesque.3.0” just northwest of Rolesville as of 6:45 pm.
Yep - 3” is about when the grass is completely covered. Been a long time!Nice! Congrats to you and everyone who’ve eclipsed the 3” mark! That’s a big milestone these days it seems. Makes everything picturesque.
0.3 today![]()
I have no memory of that system, but looking at the map you posted it looks like I missed completely on that one; so I either didn't realize it or repressed it.that’s a Jimmy deluxe. Been a while
No kidding nothing like this has been possible since 2013
Just light stuff most of the day except around 2-3pm. Outside of that, the melting was stronger than the accumulating hahaI thought you’d be more ? I have like .7 and saw a few .75 around Troutman.

Yeah it’s tough to measure. Definitely is at least 3.5” but 4.5” in some spots, realistically probably like 3.5” for a conservative total; it’s actually snowing again now a little bit. Here’s some photos from tonight. I guess we don’t need WSWs for a “big” snow, I can’t believe RAH never put one out!depending on spot measured, im in the 3.5-4.5 range too -- so i guess we might end up right at the same after all!i am still hoping to get some fun last lil bands rolling through over the evening / early AM though
