Ended up with about an inch here in NW Alabama. Roads looked like they were a little dicey just before sunrise. Most roads are okay now. We’re still below freezing so may have some slick spots overnight.
Lake wheeler bridge over 40 was the only spot with appreciable accums I saw
Current HRRR derived sounding for RDU. Close, but still solidly all snow. Sounding gets a bit close in a few hours, but we’ll see. Does get to freezing in S Wake around then, but technically would probably still be snow. The latest SPC discussion called out ZR accumulations starting in S Wake, though, so that’ll have to be watched.

Good to know! Some of the modeling was pointing out that Union County and S CLT might make out (relatively) decently from this one compared to CLT itself, and it looks like there might be some truth to that with how it’s coming together.

Ended up at 2.20 inches of snow! Euro nailed it for this area and the gfs busted by half

I’d say we are back to moderate SN now, maybe edging towards heavy. Best rates in at least an hour. The radar upstream looks juicy and I hope we can keep it backbuilding.

I lived there for a couple of years when I was a toddler. I don't remember much except I tried to claim a neighbor's collie as my own. I named it Happy.It's funny we talk about Roxboro so much, but don't have a regular living there to report obs. You'd think one of us would have moved there by now.
I think the overall consensus was for that, maybe a transition to iz and fr and then some backside in the morning.Uptown CLT has somehow fizzled to nothing.
Still 26 degrees and light/moderate snow. All the north facing, shaded, and untreated roads are covered now. If it was dark they'd all be covered.

After all of the models dried up, I had 1" in mind for the high water mark. I think I'm going to beat it here in the next 30 minutes. Might go for 2 over the next 4 hours based off the crappy hrrr and radar downstream.
