Coming down hard in Knightdale where 540/264 cross over.
No one saying a word about this but temps up to 31 degrees Wilkes, 33 Statesville, 37 hickory, and rising. Winston Salem and other areas will soon go up as precip lulls cause temps to rise. A lot of areas will be 36 to 40 after lunch.
Here on the Coast..
Precip wasn't too start UNTIL, sometime after 1~2PM.. Temps are/were too be in the Low~Mid 40's..
YET, Here I'm setting @ 39F currently, (and falling), & Light too Moderate Precip..
NW winds are ripping..

When do you think stuff will start falling. I don't have the radars you all have. But looking at accuweather and twc radar it looks like there's heavier bands over our area but nothing falling

Couple of flurries coming down, I guess that is a win for the upstate!
Wake County just got added to the Winter Storm Warning. Durham and Orange still holding at advisories. RAH WFO must think things are trending in a wintry direction, too.

It’ll probably downtrend on modeling tonight then perk back up some again hours before it happens, sort of like December

im only about ten miles north of RDU airport, but not a flake in sight yet here in NE Durham!
I've got snow to my north, my west and my south, hopefully the last place to get snow will be the last place it stops snowing. Lol
I’m about 12 miles WNW of the airport and no flakes here yet that I’ve noticed, though I’m working and haven’t looked outside a ton. Although my productivity is in the toilet these last couple days.
WSW extended till 1 pm tomorrow

12z run of the King. Slight drop in precip, but pretty similar. Would be amazing if it verified. It’s either scoring a coup or going down with the ship…

Crazy how those heavy returns are not reaching the ground. If that doesn't then idk what will. We can't be that dang dry. Heck the temperature is going up

Wet flakes starting to mix in here with the heavier returns. I'm honestly shocked the boundary layer was this shallow after waking up to 42/30. I think a coating is still on the table for Easley to GSP to Charlotte. Just need to get some heavier returns like what's back in Georgia right now.

It's snowing moderately at the office in Cary. I'm leaving work in about fifteen minutes before things start to get crazier on the roads than normal. The wife has already called me to let me know it is snowing at the house. Maybe we can get enough to make some snow cream this afternoon.
Probably can’t find a more consistent model for this storm. It may be consistently wrong, but it’s consistent, considering how volatile most of the guidance had been.
I guess when your resolution is coarse enough to ignore most of the meso changes you are consistent
