Down to 31.5 now, let's go!Temps still slowly inching down about .1/hr now. I'll be at freezing Monday. Still looks like the better dry push is yet to come
Webb, you cut my house in to.. The 0.2-0.33/0.1-0.2 splits my house! lol Currently 31.3/30Here's a quick map I've put together for this event. I chose to go w/ total ice accumulations since that will have a more direct effect on overall impacts than additional accums tonight. Up to 0.5" total ice possible near the VA border, two tenths to a third of an inch of ice possible in the Triad area. Perhaps a light glaze or so in Raleigh.
Crippling ice storm potentially on the way NE of Greensboro

29.4 over 28.1 now. Light mist.
What's really kind of concerning is that the HRRR is running about 1-2 degrees too warm in this area right now.
Down to 33.9, HRRR said I should be 35 ?
That’s cool how UHI works, the more outskirt areas are getting readings around 34, was 33.9 so went up .1 (2 stations next to each other and close to me) UHI truly does help keep things warmer during ice eventsConcord regional airport still sitting at 36F last I checked, urban heat island doing work
35 in Fuquay-Varina, according to the car thermometer. 33.1 at home, according to the Tempest.Sitting at 33.1 in southern wake, colder than HRRR by a degree. Below NAM3k by 2 degree. Could be an interesting evening
