I still think your area will see the first big winter storm before anywhere else in the south. I never thought we would be tracking anything this early especially on my birthday so at least we are getting an early start. ❄

How much did you get?
Its kinda hard to tell with the wind but around 2" i think. I measured 3" in some areas but i think thats bc of some drifting.

Its fun bc this is the first snow of the year. By the time Jan rolls around these 1-3 events wont be as fun. By then i want a big dog 6+.
Tomorrow is exciting to me because this is not a light snow setup or flurry type of event the media keeps saying...if it flips to snow if at all in that band...I expect it to be snowing fairly heavy with no road impact .

I haven't seen any ground truth on the snow other than several automatic airport obs but even the sleet I've seen reported is impressive for this early
Yeah, tried to find some web cam footage, but failed. I did see one from Georgetown, just north of Austin, that looked like the ground was white. Hard to tell for sure though.
